Dream Big'07

When I walked out of the Zone Saturday night, I could not believe Dream Big had come and gone. It was thrilling yet sad all at same time. It by far was the best one yet. From the opening Friday night until the last piece of pizza was eaten Saturday night was all good!

How can you put a price tag on the Spirit of the Lord showing up in 'da house! To see so many youth going after GOD with all their heart and soul. Glenn W was a hoot. Don't get me wrong, his word was anointed and right on time! As a matter of fact, lets kick some devil bootay! Jason K gets crazier ever time I see him. You ready to smash some idols?! Bring me that sledge hammer!

I am glad for you if you were there. You will always have the memory of what GOD did for you at Dream Big '07!

We have lots of things coming up...please remember Chucky this Friday the 10th and Remix in Seneca on the 25th.

I am like totally excited!

Yes, as a matter of fact I am totally excited. Dream Big '07 is like this week! It is going to be one of the best ever. I am so looking forward to hanging out with Glenn Walters, youth pastor from Ft. Mills South Carolina. As a youth group, we attend the Shabbach Youth Conference in Myrtle Beach that Glenn founded and directs. It has been a "big dream" of mine to have him here ministering in this house for a youth event!

It is also a wonderful privilege to have my brother with me on Saturday night! We will have two great Christian rock bands with us for our concert hour! Oh, and don't forget the Friday night "ice cream party" and Saturday afternoon Pizza party. It will be awesome! Looking forward to seeing you there! Time is running out, so get registered today at www.driven-youth.com.

Moving Forward

Camping season has come and gone. Uprising is a thing of the past even though GOD moved greatly. State Convention is now history! And, Forward 07 is set in stone! All of these events will have memories attached with them forever. That is the way it should be! That is why we have the stories in the Old Testament. They remind us where we come from and challenge us to move forward. We should hang on to the memories while leaning forward. That is the way GOD thinks! HE is a forward thinker.

It is so exciting to see and hear people on fire for GOD! Let's keep it going. When we see someone losing that zeal, let's surround him or her like the eagle does their own until that person is refilled. We are FORWARD-ites!

Welcome back Summertime!

It is hard to believe school is out. One can say that SUMMER has officially began. We celebrated the class of 2007 at church Sunday. We ended with a great lunch that was catered. WOW, the older I get the more emotional I get at those things. I am not sure why I do that. I say older but heck could be that my children will start graduating in 4 years. It could be because I just care. Anyway, it's a fact and thats that!

Yesterday we had our first official summer activity. We went to Whirlin Waters. It was fun. Sun was hot and water was cold. Some of us got burnt, namely me! We saw some old and new friends. Caught up on old times and reflected on future stuff. Next Tuesday is Bowling. I hope you can make it, if your actually in the area. LOL!

Camp clean up day is this Saturday the 9th. If you can go, call me. Camps start on 11th with first one being Senior Camp ages 15-21. Junior Camp begins 18 ages 12-14. Hope you have your camp application mailed into the state office.

Until later,

Guess I better blog..right?

Could not believe it has been six weeks since last post. Lots of things (both good and bad)have occurred since then. Of course, I don't care about mentioning the bad things. We did have an excellent Student Ministry Month in Driven Youth Ministries. Mark, Christina and Nora did an excellent job ministering during that time.

I am so excited about the month of May! We begin our "small groups" on every first Wednesday night of the months.

Did You...?

Did you see the lunar eclipse? It had been three years since our last full lunar eclipse. What a wonderful sight to see. It happened Saturday night! There have been lots of fun pics to view taken by stargazers from all over the planet. While I must admit, our view here was limited, other places saw an extraordinary sight!

Did you know that that was not a freak of science. God says to us in HIS word that the heavens will show wonders of HIS "glory"? Just being able to view events like that creates such an awe of who GOD is! The Bible declares He is the GOD of all. There is none other that compares to HIM!

Did you know that as incredibly big as HE is He is still small enough to live in your heart? Did you know HE wants to live in your heart and and help you with your life? Did you know all you have to do is ask? Did you know He is waiting.......Right now?!!

Shabbach!

Shabbach- to commend with a loud, exuberant voice. A riotous praise. Each year our youth group goes to a youth conference in Myrtle Beach. It is known as Shabbach Youth Conference. We always have lots of fun. It is so exciting to see when it clicks in people heads what is going on.

This was a way different year for me. Let's just say I have been to Heaven and back and Hell and back all in same weekend. Here is what I mean. The youth conference was the best yet since we have been attending. Great worship, preaching, and fellowship. We saw a young girl healed and lots of people set free and called into the ministry. There were several in our group who received callings in their life. On the other hand, I was sick the entire weekend. I developed the flu on Thursday prior to leaving. I was one miserable person for the most part. I am thankful I have such a wonderful wife and totally awesome youth sponsors who can pull their own weight and much more. They rose to the occasion and made the weekend a blast for everyone. I have them to be very thankful to. As a matter of fact, every student has sponsors JL,WL,JH, and GH to be thankful to. Thanks guys for doing a great job beyond the call of duty! Looking forward to Shabbach '08!
